Candidate Endorsements — Annual Fellows and Management Fellows

The DLC Board of Directors recently announced its emphasis on expanded outreach in recruitment for the 2011-12 Annual Fellows/Management Fellows classes. The goal is to develop a well rounded class of young professionals from a diverse representation of development offices- both large and small staffs, with a range of missions in the community in addition to the current representation from higher education and large foundations.

For assistance in this task, we turn to you, our alumni and best advocates. Do you know any advancement professionals who would benefit from the DLC’s programs? The Annual Fellows with Nora Kyger, provides an overview of the best practices or our industry in Chicago (http://chicagodlc.org/annual-fellows-program/), while Management Fellows with Tom Wick, provides more experienced fundraisers with an indepth overview of the responsibilities they can expect when charged with running their own shop (http://chicagodlc.org/management-fellows/).

With your help, the DLC has grown into one of the best continuing education programs for advancement officers in Chicago. And our network of over 200 alumni has become the kind of organic resource for colleagues and peer-to-peer mentoring that Clyde Watkins had envisioned.
