DLC Alums on the Move

Cara Sodos, Annual Fellows class of ’95, has joined the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum staff as Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations.

Cara’s post at the Museum follows two years at Georgetown University, where she served as the Director of Foundation Relations and managed a portfolio of over 60 organizational prospects. Cara helped secure several major grant proposals that resulted in over $4.5 million raised for University programs in the current 2010-2011 fiscal year.  Previously, she served as the Director of Foundation Relations at the University of Miami where she helped secure over $4 million+ in foundation grants in the last leg of their “Momentum Campaign” where the total dollars raised for the campaign was over $71 million. Cara previously worked at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Cara credits Clyde Watkins and the Development Leadership Consortium’s Annual Fellows program with helping to guide her career at the formative stages.
