Meet the 2013 DLC Forecast Panelists

Liz Lefkofsky Liz Lefkofsky: Liz is the Director of the Lefkofsky Family Foundation, a trust established in 2006 for the purpose of advancing high-impact programs, intiatives and research that enhance the quality of human life in the communities we serve. Ms. Lefkofsky is also the founder of the Lollipop Gang, an organization that teaches children the value of philanthropy. In addition, Ms. Lefkofsky is the Managing Director of Orange Media, LLC, a Chicago-based private equity firm focused on investments in the technology sector. Prior to Orange Media, Ms. Lefkofsky worked for a variety of non-profit organizations including gallery 37, The near South Planning Board/Printers Row Book Fair and the American Brain Tumor Association. M.s Lefkofsky is currently on the board of several organizations including the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Teach for America Chicago, Young Woman’s Leadership Charter School, Ravinia and Human Rights Watch.

CAL Head Shot 2010Charles Ashby (Chuck) Lewis: Chuck is chairman of the Lewis-Sebring Family Foundation. He is a retired Vice Chairman of Investment Banking of Merrill Lynch & Co. Mr. Lewis is a Trustee of the University of Chicago and is active with the University’s Urban Education Institute and is a member of the Governing Board of the University’s Charter School. He is a member of the visiting committees to the Division of the Social Sciences and to the College at the University. In addition, Chuck is a Life Trustee of Amherst and of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra; a Trustee of the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago; a member of the Panel of Judges for The Purpose Prize; and a Life Director of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Illinois Chapter. He is also a former director of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation International and a former trustee of the Ravinia Festival.
wickTom Wick: Tom is Chief Advancement Officer of University of Chicago’s Urban Education Institute and has spent over 25 years in higher education fundraising and alumni relations. Before arriving at the University of Chicago in 2004, Wick worked at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Lake Forest College, Macalester College, and the Harvard Graduate School of Education in positions that ranged from Director of the Annual Fund, Director of Development, Associate Vice President of Development, and Dean of Development and Alumni Relations. In each role, Wick worked closely with trustees, the president, volunteers, and colleagues to raise the resources the institution needed to fulfill its mission more effectively. Tom Wick is the founding facilitator of the Management Fellows Program for the Development Leadership Consortium.
